Digital Paintings started out with an idea of combining my two favorite mediums to work with, video and painting. I wanted to project videos on canvas and paint on the footage while the video was playing but all digitally. Later, the idea became more about time and how as we get older, we’re pushed into a 9-5 job or office job where our creativity is drained from us. The jar glasses represents an hourglass. The man holding the glass is wearing a suit which symbolizes a working class man. Paint pours out the man’s glass into a separate glass to demonstrates how creativity is “emptied” from us as we get older.
