“The Lemon of Pink” is a collage animation that experiments with the juxtaposition of unrelated vintage magazines images as a way of waking up the senses. The process includes cutting out pieces of vintage magazines and placing them with other found cut outs that normally wouldn’t be seen together. From there, I either animate them digitality or through stop motion. I like to work with this medium because it pulls me away from logic and tradition, into a place of imagination and intuition. I’m more interested in the creative process than in mere documentation. By disposing the barriers of reason and tradition, I can form a broader understanding of perceiving reality.
